Slovenian-British Ocean Rowing Expedition

'' Ten minutes...''

Two words that will never mean the same again. Time behaves strangely on board our little boat.  It is the rowers' job to wake the dreaming pair ready for their new shift. Once the rower has said these simple two words time slows down.

Every stroke becomes increasingly more difficult until you pull the last stroke of the session and you are empty. However, for the person that has just been rudely awaken, time runs away and before you know it you need to be on deck taking over.

Steve unfortunatley has been dreaming that somone said "ten minutes" and last night turned up ready for his shift 1 hour 40min early. Sleep deprivation seems to be affecting all of us.

Also last night myself and Al arrived on deck to find steve lying back and marin just steering saying the seas were confused and he couldn't row. Not sure what they were doing, but on questioning at the end of their shift neither did they!

On the horizon yesterday we thought we spotted a heavy rain shower approaching, but as it blew in we realised it was a sand storm and visability dropped as it engulfed us.

The evening sun struggled to penetrate the gritty air and glowed orange still high in the sky.  So far none of us have felt board onboard our little boat as the wind and weather is continiously changing.

Finally a special high 5 to all of Mr Coker's class at Abernethy School.
