Slovenian-British Ocean Rowing Expedition

First laugh or situation has stabilized

What as difference a day makes! After our first two days of large seas and strong winds, at about 03.00 This morning the wind dropped and the swell followed suit. By the time the sun rose we had a soft wind and  small rolling swell and sprits were very high indeed. There has been lots of laughing and joking and for the first time we have been able to have the music blasting from the frot cabin.

We have however experenced a small problem with the water maker leaking but this was solved easly and is working fine again now.

We have been visited several times by Storm Petrels who seem to like to come and check us out as we row (probably trying to work out why there are 4 blokes in a rowing boat in the Atlantic!) We have also seen lots of "by the wind sailors" who have been sailing along on the choppy sea.

From a personal hygene perspective Al was the first one to have a poo in the bucket which he asures us was a very satisfying experence. What is slightly concerning is that we all receved little gifts from the guys at Gran Canaria Divers and Al's contained pink nail varnish which he is now wearing and actually quite proud of (we have only been out here for 2.5 days what is it going to be like after 50?)

Right now i am sat in the rear cabin tapping away on the laptop with and evening sun shining in through the hatch, Marin and Al are currently on the roars and everyone is very happy to be in these lovely conditions. The last 2 days have flowen by and we are really enjoying the whole experence.
