Slovenian-British Ocean Rowing Expedition

In memory of Mark

One of the more common questions i have been asked is simply, Why?  It is a hard one to answer and we all have our own motivation for being out close to the middle of the Atlantic over 1000 nautical miles from land. My main motivation is my brother Mark who i lost to Leukaemia when he was just 13. On his last days he asked me to one day raise money for Leukaemia Research. In 2002 i managed to keep that promise by kayaking around Great Britain raising over twenty two thousand pounds.I never thought i would row an ocean and infact i had been heard to say, "i have no interest in a big crossing as there is nothing to see".So when i decided to accept Marin's offer to join the team i knew i would only do it if i could raise a good sum of money in memory of Mark.I also want to make the most of the life i have been given as did Mark with the short life he had.  We are still a little under half way and the inconceivable thought of having to go through everything we have just endured all over again is hard to bear. The thought of the suffering Mark went through and how this compares to that drives me to keep pulling those oars hour after hour. I would like to thank everyone that has donated to any of our teams charities and encourage anyone who is able to donate to look at our chrities page on the website.
